Striker “Edmonton” McDavid named first NHL star of the month for third time this season
MOSCOW, April 1 – RIA Novosti. Canadian forward “Edmonton Oilers” Connor McDavid has been named the first star of the month in the National Hockey League (NHL), according to the organization’s website.
In March, the captain of the Canadian club took part in 15 games where he scored 29 (11 goals + 18 assists). McDavid was named First Star of the Month for the second time in a row and for the third time this season. He is the leader in the league with goals (61), assists (83) and points (144). In a regular season game with the Los Angeles Kings, the forward scored the 300th goal of his career.
The second star was McDavid’s teammate, German Leon Draisaitl. He has 28 (11+17) points in 15 games. Last month, the forward also scored the 300th goal of his NHL career.
Arizona Coyotes American forward Clayton Keller finished third with 24 (12+12) points in 14 games.
