MOSCOW, April 9 – RIA Novosti. Olympic champion Natalya Nepryaeva became the winner of the overall standings of the Cup of Russia in cross-country skiing.
On Sunday, he won the 10km freestyle at the Russian Cup Final in Kirovsk and was best in the multi-day qualifying with three wins.
In the overall standings, Nepryaeva scored 860 points and won the Russian Cup. The second place was taken by Veronika Stepanova (828), the third – Ekaterina Smirnova (787). Nepryaeva also won the sprint ranking with 368 points, followed by Alena Baranova (322) and Stepanova (294). In the distance classification, Ekaterina Smirnova (570) came first, Anastasia Prokofieva (556) second, Stepanova (534) third.
At the age of 27, Nepryaeva won the relay at the Beijing Olympics, she also won the silver and two bronze medals of the Games. She also won one silver and two bronze medals at the world championships. She won the overall World Cup and the Tour de Ski in 2022.
