Olympic champion Vasiliev described the composition of the RRF athletes’ commission as good
MOSCOW, April 18 – RIA Novosti, Svetlana Bonopartova. Dmitry Vasiliev, a two-time Olympic champion in biathlon, told RIA Novosti that he considers the composition of the Athlete Commission of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) to be good.
On Tuesday, the RBU executive committee approved the structure of the Athletes’ Commission, which was created for a four-year term. It included Tamara Derbusheva, Eduard Latypov, Ekaterina Noskova, Alexander Povarnitsyn, Karim Khalili, Maxim Tsvetkov and Ekaterina Yurlova-Perkht.
“I think it is not entirely correct that the commission was created for four years. The current leadership expires in three years, and then there will be a conference in the Russian Biathlon Union, where all bodies should be re-elected. Probably this commission. This moment is strange. But our staff is good, leaders of our sport,” added Vasiliev.
