Russian tennis player Rublev will play for the European team at the Laver Cup in September
MOSCOW, April 20 – RIA Novosti. According to the tournament’s Twitter page, Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev will take part in the 2023 Laver Cup as part of the European team.
In the European team, besides the Russians, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and the German Alexander Zverev will take the stage. Americans Taylor Fritz and Francis Tiafoe are currently on the world team. The tournament will be held September 22-24 in Vancouver.
Tsitsipas advanced to the third round of the tournament in Barcelona
Last year, Russian tennis players did not participate in the Laver Cup. The world team became the winner of the competition. Russians and Belarusians are allowed to participate in the Professional Tennis Association (ATP) and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournaments in neutral status.
