“Tom” employees write open letter to Putin over unpaid salaries from 2022
MOSCOW, April 21 – RIA Novosti. Employees of the “Tom” football club sent an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the non-payment of salaries since August 2022. official group Tomsk club in the social network “VKontakte”.
The preface to the letter states that club staff and Tomy academy coaches have not been paid salaries since August 2022, but were promised to pay off debts in December. Due to the inaction of the founders of the club and regional officials, the workers filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, as well as with the prosecutor’s office of the Tomsk region. Since April 21, many employees whose employment relationship has been terminated have been banned from entering and leaving the club base.
“We ask you to issue an instruction to control and evaluate the work of the regional authorities in the field of physical culture and sport development in the region, because in our opinion this leads to the complete collapse of Tomsk sport. In the document, we ask you to help solve our painful problem this year – the problem of payment of salary debts. “We really hope for your help, support and a fair solution to the problem.”
In the summer of 2022, Tom refused to participate in the Russian championship, and in January it was announced that they lost their professional club status, leaving the Russian Football Union (RFU) and liquidating the project.
