Belarusian Sobolenko defeated American Brengle in the second round of Roland Garros.
MOSCOW, May 26 – RIA Novosti. Belarus’ Arina Sobolenko advanced to the third round of the French Open (“Roland Garros”) played on clay courts in Paris.
In the second round match, the seventh seeded Sobolenko defeated the American Madison Brengle with the scores of 6:1, 6:3. The interview duration was 1 hour and 2 minutes.
The next opponent of the Belarusian representative will be Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi (28th place).
In the other matches of the second round of Roland Garros, Romanian Simona Halep (19) lost to Chinese Zheng Qinwen with 6:2, 2:6, 1:6 scores and American Danielle Collins (9) lost to compatriot Shelby Rogers. (4:6, 3:6) will face Russia’s Daria Kasatkina in the next round.
