After the match played in Roland Garros, Serbian journalists fed Djokovic bananas and dates.
MOSCOW, June 3 – RIA Novosti. Serbian journalists joked at the post-match press conference at the French Open by giving some food to former world number one Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic had previously asked his team for water, dates and bananas during his match with Hungarian Marton Fucovich, but did not receive them. Also, a certain object could be seen on the Serbian’s chest. The athlete himself joked that his team had nanotechnology, like the comic book character Iron Man.
On Friday, Djokovic beat Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina and advanced to the fourth round of the tournament. Serbian journalists remembered the request of their citizens and brought a bottle of mineral water, dates and bananas to the press conference, as well as a magnet with the Roland Garros logo. Djokovic was delighted with the gift, posing for photographers and tasting history with these items.
Djokovic will face Juan Pablo Varillas in the round of 16 at Roland Garros.
