WIN, June 5 – RIA Novosti, Adela Ziatdinova. Yuri Semin, former head coach of the Russian national football team, told RIA Novosti that CSKA Moscow head Vladimir Fedotov was rightfully recognized as the best coach at the end of the Russian Premier League (RPL) season.
On Sunday, Fedotov was named best manager of the RPL at the end of the season. Sergei Semak (Zenit) and Valery Karpin (Rostov) were also nominated for the award. CSKA has not been on the podium since the 2017/18 season. In the 2021/22 season, Fedotov led Sochi to the silver medals of the Russian Championship.
The interlocutor of the agency also appreciated the work of the head coach of “Orenburg”, Marcel Lichka, who took the seventh place with the team in the Russian championship.
Journalists, fans, captains and head coaches of RPL teams, and league legends took part in the RPL voting.
