Former general manager of “Ufa” Gazizov compared leaving the club with the departure of the captain from the ship
WIN, June 6 – RIA Novosti, Adela Ziatdinova. Shamil Gazizov, the former general manager of Ufa, told reporters that he was forced to resign after the club’s relegation to the Second Division.
At the end of last season, “Ufa” took 16th place and relegated to the Second League. On Monday, a meeting was held among the founders of Ufa, at which Gazizov’s resignation was accepted.
Gazizov returned to the post of CEO of Ufa in March 2021. He previously held this post from 2012 to 2020. During his work in the club “Ufa” he for the first time in history reached the top league of the national championship. The best result in the Russian Premier League (RPL) was sixth place in the 2017/18 season. From July to December 2020, Gazizov was the general manager of Spartak Moscow.
