Former football player of Dynamo Kiev and Rubin Kazan Rebrov became the head of the Ukrainian national team.
MOSCOW, June 7 – RIA Novosti. Serhiy Rebrov has been appointed as the coach of the Ukraine National Football Team.
The name of the head coach was revealed on the official YouTube channel of the Football Federation of Ukraine (UAF). The previous coach of the national team was Alexander Petrakov, who left his post in January.
Rebrov is 49 years old, he already worked in the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team, and also became the head of Dynamo Kiev, where he won the Ukrainian championship twice. The specialist led Hungarian Ferencváros to three league titles and won the UAE title with Al Ain.
As a player, the Ukrainian football player played for Shakhtar Donetsk, Dynamo Kiev, English Tottenham and West Ham, Turkish Fenerbahce and Russian Rubin.
