RPL expelled the football clubs “Rubin”, “Arsenal” and “Ufa” from the league.
MOSCOW, May 30 – RIA Novosti. According to the official website of the organization, the football clubs Kazan “Rubin”, Tula “Arsenal” and “Ufa” were excluded from membership in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
The decision on this was taken at the general meeting of the RPL clubs on Monday. Rubin, Arsenal and Ufa left the Premier League on a sports basis. The Kazan and Tula teams flew directly to the Football National League (FNL), while Ufa lost to Orenburg in the playoffs.
The right to play in the RPL in the new season was won by Moscow Torpedo, Voronezh Fakel and Orenburg. As stated in the message, the acceptance of these teams into the league will then be considered after all necessary documents have been received from the applicants.
Earlier, RFU reported that the teams successfully passed the licensing procedure and received a license in category RFU-1, which entitles them to participate in the RPL.
