CSKA coach Fedorov: It would be wrong to refuse a call to the Russian national team
MOSCOW, May 31 – RIA Novosti, Andrey Senchenko. Sergei Fedorov, head coach of the Moscow hockey club CSKA, announced in an interview with RIA Novosti that he is ready to consider the possibility of independent work in the Russian national team.
Fedorov was assistant to the head coach of the national team Alexei Zhamnov at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
“If I were invited to work in the national team, it would be impossible to refuse, and perhaps it would be wrong. It is very honorable and I will take such a challenge with all seriousness. You must immediately take the bull. I work only for the result without excuses. Will I consider this option now when the national team is not allowed to participate in international tournaments? Of course I agree with this option. I’ll find something to do.”
