The State Duma described Pozdnyakov’s removal from the post of head of the EFC as a round of hysteria against Russia.
MOSCOW, May 31 – RIA Novosti. Dmitry Svishchev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sport, described Stanislav Pozdnyakov’s premature termination of his powers as head of the European Fencing Confederation (EFC) as “a new stage of anti-Russian hysteria”.
On Tuesday, the EFC Congress voted on Pozdnyakov’s resignation from the post of head of the organization, which Russia had to resign ahead of schedule.
