Bild: Nagelsmann to lead German national football team
MOSCOW, September 19 – RIA Novosti. According to Bild, former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann will soon take over the German national football team.
According to the newspaper, the German Football Federation (DFB) reached an agreement in principle with the 36-year-old specialist. Nagelsmann will sign a contract until Euro 2024 at home. His salary will be approximately 400 thousand euros per month.
The post of head coach of the German national team became vacant following the dismissal of Hans-Dieter Flick on 10 September. The German national team played its last friendly match under the leadership of interim coach Rudi Völler and defeated the French national team 2-1.
Nagelsmann had previously served as Bayern’s head coach, replacing Flick when he started training for the German national team.
