Rubin beat Sochi and extends RPL unbeaten run to five matches
MOSCOW, November 12 – RIA Novosti. Kazan “Rubin” players extended their unbeaten streak in the Russian Premier League (RPL) to five matches and defeated “Sochi” away in the 15th round of the national championship.
The match, held at the Fisht Arena in Sochi on Sunday, ended with a score of 2:0. The winners’ goals were scored by Ruslan Bezrukov (40th minute) and Mirlind Daku (66). The home team finished the match in minority after Kirill Kravtsov (55) was sent off.

“Rubin” has not lost in the RPL since October 8 (4 wins, 1 draw), while Kazan goalkeeper Yuri Dupin kept a fifth consecutive clean sheet. The Tatarstan club collected 22 points and rose to eighth place in the rankings. Sochi suffered its 11th defeat in 15 matches in the first round and is at the bottom of the standings (10 points).
Rubin will start the second round of the Russian Championship with a home match against Fakel Voronezh on 26 November, and Sochi will play away against Zenit St. Petersburg the day before. They will face St. Petersburg.
