Manchester United goalkeeper Onana will not be able to play in Cameroon due to groin injury
MOSCOW, November 19 – RIA Novosti. Andre Onana, the goalkeeper of the Cameroon national football team and the English team Manchester United, suffered a groin injury during the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup, according to the national team’s official account on the X social network.
On 17 November, the Cameroon team beat the Mauritius team with a score of 3:0. 27-year-old Onana, who entered the field in the first 11, entered the game in the 81st minute after being injured.
On November 21, the Cameroon national team will play away with the Libyan team as part of the World Cup qualifying tournament.
Onana has been playing for Manchester United since July 2023. His contract with the Red Devils runs until June 2028. He played 18 matches in various tournaments with the English club this season, conceding 30 goals and keeping six clean sheets.
