Russian football player Bashkirov was chosen as the best midfielder of the Finnish championship
MOSCOW, December 2 – RIA Novosti. According to the league’s website, Russian football player of the VPS club Evgeniy Bashkirov was recognized as the best midfielder of the season in the Finnish championship.
Bashkirov took part in 21 matches in the Finnish championship, scoring three goals and making two assists. UPS finished third in the championship and won the play-off final for the right to play in the Conference League qualifiers next season.
Bashkirov is 32 years old, became a VPS player in March and has not played since April 2022 after leaving Zaglebie of Poland. The midfielder played for Rubin Kazan, Krylia Sovetov Samara, Tom Tomsk and his alma mater Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia. He played in St. Petersburg’s second team.
UEFA did not include the Russian national team among the Nations League participants
