Russian forward “Tampa” Kucherov was named the first star of the day in the NHL
MOSCOW, December 10 – RIA Novosti. Tampa Bay Lightning club’s Russian forward Nikita Kucherov was recognized as the first game day star in the National Hockey League (NHL).
In Sunday night’s NHL regular season game against Seattle, Kucherov scored a pair of goals and had an assist (4:3 overtime). The Russian player scored the second goal in overtime and brought victory to his team. Kucherov ranks first in the NHL in goals scored this season (19) and is also the league’s top scorer (47 points; 19 goals and 28 assists).
The second star of the day was Washington Capitals goalkeeper Charlie Lindgren, who converted 31 of 31 shots on goal in the match against New York Rangers.
The third star of the day was Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak. He scored a double point and made an assist in the match against Arizona Coyotes (5:3).
