Medvedev: I feel fresher in this part of the season than in previous years
Petersburg, June 15 – RIA Novosti, Taras Barabash. Daniil Medvedev, the world’s first racket, said that he felt more fit in this segment of the season in previous years.
Medvedev defeated Belgian David Goffin on Wednesday in the first round match of the tournament, held in Halle, Germany. Last week, the Russian reached the final of the turf tournament held in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
“Clay season always seems very long to me. I like to play on the grass, it’s easier for me psychologically here. I’ve only had two tournaments on the ground. Now in this part of the season I’m frankly fresher than in previous years,” added the tennis player.
In the second round of the tournament in Hull, the Russian will play with Belarusian Ilya Ivashko.
