Fifteen-year-old Canadian swimmer McIntosh wins second gold medal at the World Championships

MOSCOW, June 25 – RIA Novosti. Canadian Summer McIntosh won the gold medal in the 400m individual medley at the World Aquatics Championships held in Budapest.

The athlete swam the distance in 4 minutes 32.04 seconds. The 15-year-old Canadian teenager set a world record. Americans Katie Grimes (+0.63 seconds) and Emma Veant (+3.96) won silver and bronze medals at the World Championships, respectively. Previously, Mackintosh set a junior world record and won championship gold in the 200m butterfly.

Italy came first in the men’s 4x100m medley relay. Among the winners were Tomas Ceccon, Nicolo Martinenghi, Federico Burdisso, Alessandro Miressi.
