Expressen.se: Swede Press may be removed from the national team due to contract with Severstal
MOSCOW, June 30 – RIA Novosti. The Swedish Hockey Federation may exclude the defender of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) club “Severstal” Robin Press from the national team games, informs expression.se.
On Tuesday, Press extended its contract with Severstal for one year. The Swedish player scored 21 points (7 goals + 14 assists) in 55 games for Severstal in the 2021/2022 season. Press became the first Swedish hockey player to sign a new contract with a KHL club since February. As noted, the final decision on the future of the player in the national team has not yet been made.
For the Swedish national team, Press made his debut last season and played two matches.
