“Minnesota” reported that Kaprizov was in Russia with friends and family
MOSCOW, July 7 – RIA Novosti. Wild general manager Bill Guerin said the Russian forward of Minnesota National Hockey League club Kirill Kaprizov is currently in Russia with his family.
Last week, the military registration and enlistment office detained the goalkeeper of the Russian national team Ivan Fedotov, who signed a contract with the Philadelphia NHL club in the offseason. The hockey player fell ill in the military registration and enlistment office, after which he was hospitalized in the 1st Marine Clinical Hospital. He is currently in the military and is being treated for gastritis.
As The Athletic previously reported, NHL and league clubs are concerned that players going on vacation to Russia may be prevented from returning home to their teams at the start of the new season. Allegedly, several clubs have offered the Russians to train outside of Russia in the pre-season, and a manager representing the interests of several Russian players has suggested that his clients not return home.
Kaprizov played 81 games in the NHL regular season last season, scoring 108 points (47 goals and 61 assists), updating Minnesota’s regular season goals and points record. The 25-year-old Russian played six games in the playoffs and scored 8 points (7+1).
