New York Post: Olympic medalist Glass attacked by a homeless man in the US
MOSCOW, July 11 – RIA Novosti. US Olympic silver medalist Kim Glass suffered a face injury after being attacked by a homeless man in Los Angeles. informs New York Post.
The former volleyball player said the incident occurred while he was leaving a cafe in downtown Los Angeles. Later, a homeless man approached her, who said he was looking at her with a “hateful look.” Glass wanted to tell her friend there was something wrong with the homeless man and he wanted to crash into the car. The homeless man then hit him with a metal pipe. Eyewitnesses of the incident detained the person until the police arrived.
As a result of the attack, 37-year-old Glass suffered cuts above his eye and nose. He also has a severe hematoma around his eye and took a few stitches.
As a member of Team USA, Glass won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2007 World Cup in Japan.
