Belarusian Shakhtar failed to qualify for the second round of the Champions League qualifiers.
MOSCOW, 13 July – RIA Novosti. Slovenian “Maribor” players advanced to the next stage of the tournament, defeating Belarusian “Shakhtar” (Salihorsk) in the second leg of the Champions League first qualifying round.
The match in Turkey ended with the score of the Slovenian team 2-0. Roko Baturina (12th and 56th minutes) pair. A goalless draw was recorded in the first match.
In the second qualifying round, “Maribor” will meet the Moldovan “Sheriff”.
Previously, the European Football Associations Association (UEFA) board of directors banned the matches under the auspices of the organization on the territory of Belarus due to the special operation it organized in Ukraine. Also, UEFA does not allow European cup matches to be held in Transnistria, so Sharif (Tiraspol) plays its home games in Chisinau.
