MOSCOW, July 19 – RIA Novosti, Alexander Govorov. The head of the organization, Viktor Maigurov, said that he has not yet made a request to the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) to change the sports citizenship of Russian athletes.

On Monday, tennis players Daria Kasatkina and Andrey Rublev Kasatkina said in an interview posted on journalist Viktor Kravchenko’s YouTube channel, they could change their sporting citizenship if the Russians were removed from all tournaments. In March, cyclist Pavel Sivakov changed his sports citizenship from Russian to French.

“We haven’t received any questions about changing citizenship from our athletes yet. I hope not. There is no information about the return of (Ekaterina) Bekh and (Oksana) Moskalenko, who wear the Ukrainian jersey. Maygurov at a press conference held at MIA Russia Today’s International Multimedia Press Center. “We don’t see any problem if they want to return to the Russian team,” he said.

In April, Bekh, Moskalenko and Olga Abramova, who changed their Russian sports citizenship to Ukrainian in 2018, were expelled from the biathlon team by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
