Ternovoy wins the high dive at the Friendly Games in Kazan
MOSCOW, July 29 – RIA Novosti. Ruslan Ternovoy, bronze medalist of the European Championship, won the 10-meter diving platform at the International Competition of the Friendship Games in Kazan.
According to the results of six attempts, Ternovoy scored 539.20 points. Second place was taken by Sandro Rogava (492.75), third – Sergey Nazin (481.40).
Russians Ekaterina Belyaeva and Yulia Timoshinina won the women’s 10 meter platform synchronized dive (319.35). Ecuadorian Santilla Rommie Michel and Venezuela representative Valentina del Carmen Rojas (172.20) showed the second result.
Elizaveta Kuzina and Ilya Molchanov won the gold medal in synchronized diving from the three-meter springboard in the mixed doubles (334.32). Kristina Ilyinykh and Evgeny Kuznetsov came in second (326.22), while Vitaly Koroleva and Grigory Ivanov came in third (321.30).
Diving competitions will run until 30 July. In March, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
