MOSCOW, August 9 – RIA Novosti, Sergey Fuks. The Khimki leadership decided to part with head coach Sergei Yuran at the end of last season, Roman Teryushkov, a member of the supervisory board of the Moscow Region team, told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Teryushkov said that under Yuran’s leadership, the team has left the post of head coach of the club, which currently ranks seventh in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings.
During his coaching career, Juran headed the Moscow Region team three times. “Will Juran come to Khimki for the fourth time? God’s ways are incomprehensible. I am very grateful to him. I invited him twice.
Juran last headed “Khimki” in February of this year, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract. After the results of the last championship of Russia, “Khimki” took 13th place. In the play-offs for the right to play in the Russian Premier League in the 2022/23 season, he defeated Moscow Region club SKA-Khabarovsk (0:1, 3:0) and maintained its position in the top league.
