Cherchesov’s Fenerbahçe advances to the Europa League qualifying round
MOSCOW, August 11 – RIA Novosti. Turkish football club “Fenerbahçe” drew with Czech “Slovakko” in the second match of the Europa League qualifying third round and advanced to the playoff round.
The match in the Czech Republic ended with a score of 1:1. Fenerbahçe’s goal was Serdar Dursun (56th minute), and the home team’s goal was Ondrej Sashinka (58th minute). Fenerbahce won the first match 3-0.
Results of the other matches of the day:
HJK (Finland) – “Maribor” (Slovenia) – 1:0 (debut – 2:0);
“Zurich” (Switzerland) – “Linfield” (Northern Ireland) – 3:0 (debut – 2:0).
In the playoff round, Fenerbahce’s rival Austria (Austria), Zurich’s rival Harts (Scotland) will face HJK Danish Silkeborg.
The first legs will be played on August 18 and the return legs will be played on August 25. The winners will advance to the group stage in the Europa League, the losers will advance to the group stage in the Conference League.
