Timkin, two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup, became the hockey player “Salavat Yulaev”
MOSCOW, May 6 – RIA Novosti. Evgeny Timkin, a two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup as part of Metallurg Magnitogorsk, signed a contract with Salavat Yulaev, reported On the official Telegram channel of the Ufa KHL club.
A two-season contract was signed with the 31-year-old striker. Also, “Salavat Yulaev” signed a one-season contract with another striker, Stanislav Bocharov.
Timkin played for Metallurg from 2013 to 2020, before that he played in the KHL for Avangard Omsk (2008-2010) and Vityaz near Moscow (2011-2013). The striker won the Gagarin Cup with the Magnitogorsk team in 2014 and 2016. The forward has played the last two seasons in St. Petersburg SKA spent.
Timkin played a total of 725 games in the KHL and scored 167 points (88 goals + 79 assists). He has 956 power moves and 356 blocky shots.
Bocharov graduated from Tatarstan hockey, played in the first and second teams of Kazan “Ak Bars”, as well as in the farm club Kazan “Bars” and Almetyevsk “Neftyanik”. The striker spent the last two seasons at Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg and previously played in the KHL for Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, Admiral Vladivostok, Lada Togliatti, Sochi and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. The 30-year-old forward scored 206 points (98+18) in 559 games in the KHL.
