Maigurov: The election of the President of the Russian Biathlon Union will be held no earlier than the beginning of October
SOCI, August 25 – DEA Novosti, Alexander Govorov. The current head of the organization, Viktor Maigurov, told RIA Novosti that the election of the head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) will be held no earlier than the beginning of October.
The RBU’s reporting and election conference was held in Moscow on 23 June. Maygurov and Alexei Nuzhdov, vice-president of the RBU, assumed the presidency. 35 delegates voted for Maygurov and 18 for Nuzhdov. Two-thirds of the delegates’ votes had to win, so re-election was necessary.
