Post: Wolff criticizes Mercedes’ Belgian Grand Prix qualifying results

‘Mercedes’ president describes ‘Formula 1’ qualification of Belgian Grand Prix as worst in 10 years

MOSCOW, August 28 – RIA Novosti. Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff declarationHe said his team’s performance in qualifying for the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix was the worst in the last 10 years.

According to the results of Saturday’s qualifying, seven-time world champion Briton Lewis Hamilton took seventh place, compatriot George Russell – eighth.

“Three weeks ago, in very different conditions, on a different track, you can’t be 1.8 seconds behind the lead in the next stage. Red Bull is obviously in their league. Ferrari’s eight tenths behind them, but that’s no consolation,” quotes Motorsport Wolff.

“For me, this is the worst qualifying session in the last 10 years. No matter where we start tomorrow, being on pole the previous weekend and not being anywhere three weeks later is unacceptable for us.”

The Belgian Grand Prix race will start at 16:00 Moscow time on Sunday.
