MOSCOW, September 13 – RIA Novosti. A criminal case was opened for unsafe provision of service after the poisoning of seven athletes at a karate training camp in the Moscow region, reported On the Telegram channel of the regional head office of the RF IC.
According to preliminary data from the prosecutor’s office of the Moscow Region, on Tuesday morning seven people living on the territory of the Sports Training Center of the Russian National Teams in the village of Paramonovo, Dmitrovsky city district, went to the hospital with symptoms of poisoning.
All of the applicants in England were released without being hospitalized. “A criminal case has been initiated against the poisoning of athletes (part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in karate training camps,” the head office said in a statement.
The Dmitrov city prosecutor’s office will conduct an audit and make a legal assessment of the actions of the responsible officials of a sports institution and a catering organization. Employees of Rospotrebnadzor will take samples for examination from the products eaten by the athletes.
A law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that all of those poisoned were karateka, including minors.
