MOSCOW, September 14 – RIA Novosti. Oleksiy Kucherenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, former Minister of Housing and Public Services of Ukraine, appealed to Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to dismiss Yuriy Vitrenko, chairman of the board of directors of Naftogaz Ukrainy.

“I believe that Mr. Vitrenko’s continued tenure as chairman of the board of the company, which violates the law, hinders the implementation of the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine – ed.) and the government, which systematically manipulates data and its activities in Ukraine “And the operator of the Ukrainian gas transmission system threatens the energy security of our country”, which led to the crisis situation of NJSC Naftogaz of .

The text of the appeal states that, according to the deputy, on the eve of “such a difficult heating season”, the country’s leadership cannot trust Vitrenko and entrust him with a strategically important initiative. He also called for inspections of all Naftogaz enterprises in Ukraine.

“In fact, the chairman of the board of directors of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy was accused of raiding the company and using it at his discretion,” said the deputy, and called for the introduction of “immediate measures for dismissal.”

Vitrenko said on August 31 that he was ready to step down if it would help persuade investors to freeze the company’s debt payments. In July, Ukrainian National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz applied to Eurobond holders with a proposal to delay interest payments for two years, but did not receive a deferral.
