The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had attempted an unsuccessful attack on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
MOSCOW, September 17 – RIA Novosti. The Ukrainian army lost more than 120 people while trying to advance in the Kherson region, reported Journalists in the Ministry of Defense.
According to the Ministry, the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of two companies, supported by nine tanks of the 28th mechanized brigade and 16 armored combat vehicles, launched an offensive near the village of Pravdino, but without success.
“During hostilities, the Russian armed forces destroyed more than 120 Ukrainian soldiers, seven tanks and 13 infantry fighting vehicles within a few hours,” the report says.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense stated that the Russian army was located in the villages of Bereznegovatoe and Velikoye Artakovo in the Nikolaev region and the nearby 24th mechanized brigade of the 46th Kherson district of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Bezymenny. Enemy losses amounted to more than 140 killed and wounded, five tanks and 14 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kharkov region, more than 50 nationalists from Kraken, the 92nd mechanized and 81st aircraft brigades and about ten pieces of equipment were destroyed in missile attacks. On the territory of the DPR, the 58th and 93rd motorized infantry and 53rd mechanized brigades lost more than 230 soldiers, ten tanks and 23 armored combat vehicles.
Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery destroyed five command centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 53 artillery units and four military depots in the DPR, Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions. Air defense forces, in turn, shot down eight Ukrainian drones and captured 25 HIMARS and Vilkha MLRS shells.
