A sabotage and reconnaissance group was liquidated in the center of Kherson
SIMFEROPOL, September 16 – RIA Novosti. In the emergency services of the region, RIA Novosti was told that a sabotage and reconnaissance group was liquidated in the center of Kherson, the situation in the city was completely controlled by the Russian army.
“The DRG as a whole has been liquidated. Only some pockets of resistance remain, which have also been neutralized,” the source said.
According to him, during the anti-terrorist operation among the civilian population, no one was injured.
As explained by the administration of the Kherson region, neither Kherson nor its inhabitants suffered significant material damage during the liquidation of the armed group.
Earlier, a source from the operations services reported that automatic weapons were fired in the city center. Before that, five explosions roared there, probably the air defense worked.
As noted by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday attempted an unsuccessful offensive in the Kherson region, as a result of which more than 120 Ukrainian soldiers, seven tanks and 13 infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed.
Since February 24, a special military operation has been carried out to demilitarize and navy Ukraine. Vladimir Putin described it as the ultimate goal of the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
During the special operation, the Russian army took control of the Azov part of Zaporozhye and the entire Kherson region. New administrations are working there, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, and the ruble is in circulation. Both regions have announced their plans to become part of Russia.
