British Prime Minister Liz Truss said at the UN General Assembly that no one threatened Russia.
UN, September 22 – RIA Novosti. British Prime Minister Liz Truss, in her speech at the UN General Assembly, said that no one threatened Russia and noted that London would continue military aid to Kiev.
“New weapons are arriving in Ukraine from the UK as I speak, including the MLRS,” he added.
Russia had previously sent a note to NATO countries on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that the pumping of weapons into Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative impact.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in Russia “we have already heard a lot that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian”, and this is a tragedy for the entire Ukrainian people. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, noted that the United States declared “war by proxy” in response to Russia’s special operation, supplied weapons to Ukraine and “maintained a militaristic frenzy there for Kiev to fight”. By saying “the last Ukrainian”, in this case the interests of the USA or Europe will not be harmed. Press Secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, noted that the US supply of weapons to Ukraine did not contribute to the awakening of Kiev’s desire to continue peace talks.
