Lukashenka says there will be no mobilization in Belarus

MINSK, September 23 – RIA Novosti. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko named It lies in the assumptions in some opposition sources that mobilization will be declared in the republic after the partial mobilization declared in Russia.

“This mobilization is in Russia. They are trying to throw this bridge over us, what will we have… or will it not? You, the propagandists (state media – ed.). And they won’t. They need to create a (tense) situation. To hold on to something. There will be no mobilization. It is a lie,” Lukashenka was quoted by the Telegram channel Pool of the First, close as the head of state told the press service. Earlier, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Alexander Volfovich said that there is no need for mobilization in the republic, as Belarusians are ready to fight a power bloc “peacetime personnel”.

Partial mobilization has been declared in Russia by presidential decree since September 21. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is necessary to control the 1000-kilometer line of contact and liberated areas in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called in, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation. The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation added that the mobilization of university students is out of the question and will not be. In addition, those currently serving in the military are not directed to the mobilization and special operations area.
