The votes of those voting at home in Donetsk began to be sealed to be counted on September 27.

DONETSK, September 23 – RIA Novosti. The collection and packaging of the ballot papers of the first Donetsk residents to vote at home in the referendum on the DPR’s accession to Russia began in Donetsk on Friday – the ballots are sealed in special packages to be opened on September 27 to count the votes, the RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

In one of the polling stations in central Donetsk, the first ballots have been prepared for the final vote count on Tuesday, September 27. Transparent sealed ballot boxes containing the votes of Donetsk residents who voted in their homes were delivered to the polling station. Until 27 September, voting will be done remotely, mostly at home, with the help of MSK mobile teams for security purposes.

In the presence of observers and the media, CEC officials opened the ballot boxes, counted the votes, put them in special bags and put them in a safe. On Tuesday, such packages will be opened and the votes will be counted.

According to the polling station chairman, turnout is high, but exact data on the share of voters in the polling station will be released later.
