Historian Klimovsky: Ukraine could buy nuclear weapons from Israel to attack Russia

MOSCOW, September 26 – RIA Novosti. Journalist and candidate of historical sciences, Sergei Klimovsky, who wrote a column for Glavred, said that Kiev could borrow nuclear weapons from Israel or North Korea to attack Russian territory.

According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could make such threats under the pretext of an alleged nuclear threat from Moscow.

“No matter where Ukraine finds nuclear weapons, especially when the DPRK declares itself a nuclear power. You can hire it from Israel, and if not needed, return it or buy it from the same DPRK,” wrote Klimovsky.

He added that so that Russia does not accuse NATO of nuclear proliferation, Kiev should address Tel Aviv specifically, not the United States and its allies.

However, he did not specify how Ukraine should receive such materials from Israel, which does not agree to cooperate on weapons. Earlier, Zelensky said he was shocked by Tel Aviv’s refusal to send military supplies to Kiev.

Also, Klimovsky proposed to organize a terrorist attack on the Russian nuclear power plant.

“Near Belgorod, 40 km from the border, there is a nuclear power plant, which is quite close even for Soviet missile systems,” said the journalist.

He also expressed the idea to carry out an attack on the station by Ukrainian special forces.

At the same time, there are no nuclear power plants in the Belgorod region, and Kursk, the closest Russian nuclear power plant to Ukraine, is located about 60 kilometers from the border.

In August, the FSB reported that in the Kurchatov region of the Kursk region, Ukrainian sabotage groups blew up the masts of high-voltage power lines, from which the Kursk NPP supplied energy both to the region and to neighboring countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also said in September that militants from a neighboring country were trying to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of nuclear facilities.

Addressing the Russians this week, the head of state said that the West’s anti-Russian policy has transcended every line and constant threats to the country. Now, as Putin has emphasized, nuclear blackmail is being used. It also recalled that Russia was outpacing foreign military equipment in some components and warned that those trying to threaten with nuclear weapons “could turn the windmill in their own direction”.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov drew attention to the “very important” risks of nuclear war, but at the same time emphasized that Moscow’s principled stance is not to use such weapons.
