DPR people’s militia: Ukrainian troops opened fire on Krasny Lyman, civilians were killed

DONETSK, September 26 – RIA Novosti. During the bombing of Krasny Liman by the Ukrainian army, civilians were killed, reported Telegraph channel of the DPR People’s Militia.

“Artillery shells hit a grocery store and a car, killing civilians in Krasny Port,” the publication says.

Krasny Port is a major railway junction that is part of the Kramatorsk agglomeration. Russian troops, along with DPR and LPR forces, regained control in May.

There has been intense fighting in the region in recent weeks. According to the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the Ukrainian command has stationed significant forces there, and this direction remains the most difficult sector of the front.

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military special operation to de-Nazis and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin described his mission as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
