Operator Nord Stream AG reported a pressure drop in both lines of Nord Stream
MOSCOW, September 26 – RIA Novosti. Pipeline operator Nord Stream AG said there is a pressure drop across both strings of Nord Stream.
“Tonight, Nord Stream control center dispatchers recorded a pressure drop in both strings of the gas pipeline. The causes are being investigated,” the company said.
Earlier on Monday, Nord Stream 2 AG operator reported a sharp drop in pressure in line A of Nord Stream 2, the tech was filled with gas. The incident was immediately reported to the coast services of Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Russia. There is an investigation.
Gas supply via Nord Stream, one of Russia’s main routes of gas exports, has been suspended since the end of August. “Gazprom” explained this with the detected malfunctions in the only working gas pumping unit of the compressor station “Portovaya”.
Germany’s Siemens said it did not see them as a technical reason to shut down the pipeline. But Gazprom later clarified that Siemens participated in the repair work of the unit, detected malfunctions and was ready to fix them, but because of the sanctions there was nowhere to do.
