FAS will review the validity of changes in overalls and equipment prices, at the request of MPs

MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will examine the validity of changes in overalls and equipment prices, send the relevant requests to Voentorg, Sportmaster and HAKKI, informs Section.

It was clarified that the analysis was carried out in relation to objections from State Duma deputies, as well as citizens’ complaints about unreasonable increases in prices for military equipment and other military products.

“The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia is conducting an analysis of the validity of changes in the cost of these products. … For this, the antimonopoly service sent requests to retail chains Voentorg, Sportmaster and HAKKI requesting that they provide the necessary information for such an analysis,” the report states.

So, among the requested data – information on the dynamics of sales and purchase prices for goods in August-September of the current year, in order to assess the validity of price increases. If signs of dishonest behavior and economically unreasonable prices are identified by individual sellers, the agency will take action.

The FAS also reminded that the requirements of anti-monopoly legislation must be complied with in the implementation of trade activities. In particular, to point out the inadmissibility of an unreasonable increase in prices in the event of a possible increase in demand for goods.

Partial mobilization has been declared in Russia since September 21, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is necessary to control the 1000-kilometer line of contact and liberated areas in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called in, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation.
