Slutsky invited Kiev’s accelerated application to NATO to enter the alliance into the conflict
MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and chairman of the Duma Committee on International Relations, said that Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement on Kiev’s application for accelerated NATO membership seemed like a direct invitation for the Alliance to engage in a military conflict with the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Zelensky said that Ukraine quickly applied to join NATO. Putin also stated that as long as Russian President Vladimir Putin is present, Ukraine will not hold any talks with Russia.
The parliamentarian also noted that Zelensky “did not listen in vain to the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin” because the only way for Kyiv now was to lay down arms and return to the negotiating table, and then there was an influx of bloody victims. The Kyiv regime will be stopped.
“The Western masters of Kiev should also weigh everything. I hope they understand where the “wish list” of the Kyiv puppets can lead in the current situation. We warned that Russia is not bluffing,” the parliamentarian said.
