Die Welt readers criticize Zelensky for calling the referendums bullshit

Referendums were held in the liberated areas from 23 to 27 September. In the DPR, 99.23 percent of residents voted to join Russia, in the LPR – 98.42 percent, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11 percent, in the Kherson region – 87.05 percent.
On September 30, President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the liberated territories signed agreements to include the new territories in Russia.
On February 24, Moscow launched a special operation to de-Nazis and demilitarize Ukraine. As Vladimir Putin emphasized, its aim is “to protect people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army attacks only military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, nothing threatens the civilian population.
