American economist Sachs accused the US and Poland of undermining Nord Stream
MOSCOW, October 4 – RIA Novosti. The explosions in the strings of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were probably carried out by the USA and Poland, reported Bloomberg, American economist Jeffrey Sachs.
“Europe is experiencing a very sharp economic downturn. Rising prices are making the decline in living standards worse. But the main thing is that the European economy is more damaged by power cuts than others. And now, to end it completely, they destroyed the Nord Stream,” said the expert. .
According to him, there is information that American military helicopters based in Gdansk are hovering over the emergency zone. Sacks also recalled that the US had previously threatened “one way or another” to end Nord Stream.
The economist noted that his view was contrary to “generally accepted myth” and that such things should not be said in the West. At the same time, he added that they are convinced that the United States is responsible for their interlocutors around the world.
“Even the reporters of our newspapers dealing with this issue confessed to me: “Yes, of course, that’s true, only our media is silent about it,” said the expert.
It was previously reported that from September 1 to 3, a US Navy helicopter circled the area of Bornholm island, where gas leaks later occurred. In addition, the Americans flew over the gas pipelines on September 10 and 19, on the night of September 22-23 and on September 25-26. In any case, the trajectories of the US military speak of flights over a certain part of the water area.
A gas leak was discovered in Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 on September 26 and at four locations simultaneously. According to operator Nord Stream AG, the accident was unprecedented and the time frame for repairs is impossible to predict. The German and Danish authorities do not exclude that sabotage was the cause of the emergency.
The Kremlin described the incident as an act of international terrorism. According to Vladimir Putin, “sanctions are not enough for the Anglo-Saxons”, they began to destroy the pan-European energy infrastructure.
