State Department: US ready to meet with DPRK representatives without prior agreement
WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 – RIA Novosti. The United States is ready to meet with North Korean representatives without prior agreement to find diplomatic solutions to de-escalate tensions after North Korea launches a new ballistic missile, Deputy State Department Spokesperson Vedant Patel said on Tuesday.
“We are ready to negotiate with North Korea without prior agreement,” Patel said.
At the same time, the representative of the State Department emphasized that the United States condemns the launch of a ballistic missile, considering it “dangerous and reckless”.
North Korea launched a ballistic missile that flew over Japanese territory and crashed into the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday morning. Japanese experts believe that the rocket has traveled the maximum distance in the launch date.
North Korea also launched several missiles last week. All missiles were believed to be ballistic missiles with a flight altitude of about 50 kilometers and a range of 300 to 400 kilometers. Some flew along a non-standard orbit.
