Ukrainian troops repulsed in the Kherson region, their advance stopped
SIMFEROPOL, 6 October – RIA Novosti. The advance of Ukrainian troops in the northern part of the Kherson region has been stopped, Deputy Head of Regional Administration Kirill Stremousov told RIA Novosti.
“In the Kherson region, no one is retreating anywhere. The advance of the Ukronazis and foreign mercenaries in the north of the region is stopped at the defensive lines built by our army. National Guards in the direction of Kherson, everything is under control, there is no panic. In the direction of Kherson, people stand to the death, and in their ranks a large number of mercenaries “It is holding back the attack of the well-armed Nazis who are in the city.”
According to him, the Ukrainian army occupied several front-line villages that were part of the gray zone, from the direction of Krivoy Rog and all attempts to attack, thanks to the defensive lines built from the direction of Nikolaev. It ended in defeat on the outskirts of the Kherson region.
“The gray zone, where the Nazis allegedly settled, was a zone with no defensive lines. Now everything is in order and our army heroically holds the defensive, despite the superior forces of the enemy. The Ukrainian Nazis are doing it. They did not advance any further, they were stopped, they were simply smashed with the help of artillery and military space forces. The denazification and demilitarization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues,” added Stremousov.
Russia has been conducting military operations in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin described his mission as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. According to him, the ultimate goal is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee Russia’s security.
During the special operation, the Russian army took control of the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region and the entire Kherson region, occupied such major cities as Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk, and cut off Ukraine from the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov. New administrations have been established in both regions, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, trade and transport links with Crimea are being re-established.
On September 30, President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin after the results of the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of the regions to Russia. Already on October 5, the states signed a federal law ratifying these agreements.
