HRC member Kabanov urged to understand why regular ammunition is sold over the Internet

Kirill Kabanov, a member of the Human Rights Council of the President of the Russian Federation, said that the military prosecutor’s office and operational services should deal with the logistics of which mobilized, regular ammunition appears on online trading platforms.

“In this case, the military prosecutor’s office and operational services, including military counterintelligence, need to resolve the situation, because we monitored the situation in terms of logistics, and in addition to the fact that people buy themselves armor, this is about the average, Kabanov said in a statement at the international multimedia press center of the Rossiya Segodnya media group. As 200 thousand rubles, we see a huge amount of regular ammunition appearing on online trading platforms,” ​​he said.

According to him, such a situation has arisen in the last two weeks, and these goods “clearly come from warehouses” and their prices are “ten times higher.” At the same time, the HRC member stated that such a situation has been announced since February.

“People engaged in the recruitment of volunteer, contract soldiers have been telling us for a long time since February that there has been a lack of stale armor: bulletproof vests, helmets. It is for the ministry of defense and logistics,” Kabanov said.

Partial mobilization has been declared in Russia since September 21, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is necessary to control the 1000-kilometer line of contact and liberated areas in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called in, which is just over 1% of Russia’s total mobilization resource.
