Ottawa Embassy awaits Prime Minister Trudeau’s response to Zelensky’s call for strike against Russia

MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. The Russian Embassy in Ottawa awaits the reaction of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet to Vladimir Zelensky’s call to NATO to demand preemptive nuclear strikes against Russia.

“Zelensky has asked NATO to launch preemptive (nuclear) attacks against Russia. The embassy has turned on the timer️ and is waiting for how, when and how the Trudeau cabinet will react to their favorite statement,” the message on the diplomatic mission’s Twitter page reads.

Speaking via video link at the Lowy Institute in Australia, Zelensky said NATO should launch “preemptive” attacks on the Russian Federation and “wait for Russian nuclear attacks”. Later, Zelensky’s press secretary, Sergei Nikiforov, declared that he did not call for the use of nuclear weapons against the Russian Federation, but meant preventive sanctions.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, told RIA Novosti earlier in connection with Zelensky’s statement that his words were nothing more than a call to start a world war, and that the responsibility for this should be taken by the USA and Great Britain. Great Britain, which actually manages the actions of Kiev. He also emphasized that all countries of the world should pay attention to Zelensky’s words. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that the West is provoking a nuclear war and that the “puppet and deranged” Zelensky “has turned into a monster whose hands can destroy the planet.”

Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin described his goal as “protecting people who have been subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.”
