Washington Embassy knows Russians detained in Alaska
WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 – RIA Novosti. The Russian Embassy in the USA learns that two Russians have been detained in Alaska, a phone call with diplomats is planned.
The embassy noted that a phone call will be held with the detainees in the near future, and that the diplomats are ready to provide them with the necessary consular and legal assistance.
Meanwhile, the media reported that the Russians were seeking asylum, citing US State Senator Lisa Markowski.
The Ministry of Homeland Security has not yet responded to a request from RIA Novosti regarding the situation of the Russians and the planned measures.
As previously reported by the authorities, the Russians took St. Detained on the island of Lawrence, they are in custody.
